Professor of sculpture at the Higher Institute of Art (Instituto Superior de Arte, ISA) since 1976 and Dean of its Faculty of Art from 1986 to 1990. Member of the National Union of Writers and Artists (UNEAC) since 1982 and President of the National Association of Arts 1993-2008 y Vicepresident of the National Union since 2008. Member of the Advisors´ Council for the Development of Monumental and Environmental Sculpture (CODEMA). Member of the International Association of Artists. (AIAP) Several of his sculptures in small format are part of collections in Cuba, Spain, United States, Germany, Brazil, Canada, Czecoslovakia, Poland, Hungary, Egypt, Russia, France, Costa Rica, Argentina and México. He has been a Lecturer in Cuba and in several other countries.
